MOUNDS, Ill. -- Ruth Beatrice "Temple" Spencer, 66, of Mounds died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Dec. 3, 1931, in Mounds, daughter of Forrest F. and Ruth M. Boyd Spencer.

Survivors include a brother, Charles "Jerry" Spencer of Mounds.
Private visitation for family will be held at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
Private service will be held Friday at Cairo City Cemetery in Villa Ridge, with the Rev. Tom Ellison officiating.
