PERRYVILLE -- Oscar F. Amschler, 84, of Perryville died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1998, at Vencor Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Jan. 8, 1914, at Apple Creek, son of George E. and Sophia Unterreiner Amschler. Amschler was a self-employed jeweler in Perry County. PERRYVILLE -- Oscar F. Amschler, 84, of Perryville died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1998, at Vencor Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Jan. 8, 1914, at Apple Creek, son of George E. and Sophia Unterreiner Amschler.

Amschler was a self-employed jeweler in Perry County. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Men's Club.

Survivors include four brothers, Walter and Rudolph Amschler of Perryville, Gilbert Amschler of Old Appleton, and Theobold Amschler of Oran.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church in Apple Creek, with the Rev. Terry Borgerding officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
