Hazel Hagerty Rowan, 99, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services. She was born Dec. 11, 1898, at Des Arc. She and Raymond Hagerty were married Jan. 2, 1921. He preceded her in death. She later married Lee Rowan May 10, 1963. He also preceded her in death...

Hazel Hagerty Rowan, 99, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services.

She was born Dec. 11, 1898, at Des Arc. She and Raymond Hagerty were married Jan. 2, 1921. He preceded her in death. She later married Lee Rowan May 10, 1963. He also preceded her in death.

Rowan was a longtime member and pianist at Des Arc Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Flo Davis of Cape Girardeau; a stepson; two stepdaughters; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont after 6:30 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Des Arc Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
