EAST PRAIRIE -- Sylvia S. Henson, 81, of Winnsboro, Texas, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, in Winnsboro.

She was born Dec. 17, 1916, in New Madrid, daughter of Arthur Dallas and Clara May Bisher Rogers. She married Martin Floyd Henson June 26, 1937. He died in 1983.

Formerly of Mississippi County, she had lived in Fenton until moving to Winnsboro in February 1992.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph Henson of Sikeston, James Henson of Fenton, Martin Henson of West Frankfort, Ill.; four daughters, Margie Stanley, Barbara Thomas and Clara Schneider of Winnsboro, Bonnie Marrow of Fulton; four brothers, Jack and John Rogers of San Francisco, Calif., Walter and Dallas Rogers of Sikeston; 39 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Howard officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
