SIKESTON -- Joe Holland, 75, of Sikeston died Monday, March 9, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 29, 1923, at Lamar, Ark., son of Tom and Vanda Harris Holland. He and Florence Jean Thomas were married Feb. 28, 1944, at Sikeston.

Holland owned and operated restaurants in Lilbourn, Senath, and Osceola, Ark.

He moved to Sikeston six months ago from Senath. He was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sisters, Ann Harr, Jeanetta Monan, Syble Moore, all of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Revs. Mike Quillman and Frank Norris officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
