PERRYVILLE -- Ludwina T. "LaVina" Meyer, 87, died Monday, March 9, 1998, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 1, 1910, at Biehle, daughter of Henry and Julia Lappe Blechle. She and Walter L. Meyer were married May 4, 1940, at Apple Creek.

Meyer was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its women's organization.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Michael Meyer of St. Charles, James Meyer of O'Fallon, Charles Meyer of Louisiana, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Simley of Lakewood, Colo.; a sister, Nora Ruedlinger of Overland; a half brother, Norbert Bohnert of Cape Girardeau; two half sisters, Bernice Gotto and Birdie Ernst of Perryville; nine grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, and two half brothers.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Terry Borgerding will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
