Cecil L. Pletcher, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 15, 1922, in Stoddard County, son of Leo R. and Wilma Strauser Pletcher. He and Bonnie R. Bollinger were married Aug. 29, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. She died Sept. 21, 1997.
Pletcher was employed by Missouri Utilities Co. at the water plant, and retired as an electrician at Lone Star. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and American Legion. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Pletcher of Cape Girardeau, Randy Pletcher of Advance; two sisters, Evelyn Stovall and Jennettia Galbreath of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. E.K. Purcell and Bill Burke officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
