Virden Brown, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 15, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Aug. 11, 1905, at West Frankfort, Ill., son of John and Ginny Strop Brown.
He had been a live bait shop operator. He was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Cape Girardeau.
On Jan. 4, 1934, he married Louise Anna Short. She died July 11, 1991.
He is survived by a brother, Cecil Brown of Kankakee, Ill.; and two sisters, Geneva Bryant of Kankakee and Eula Lowes of Henderson, Nev.
A stepson, stepdaughter and brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call between 9 and 10 a.m. today, Wednesday at the Gospel Assembly Church.
Funeral will be at 10 today at the church, with the Rev. Winfred Wren officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
