CHARLESTON -- Alma L. Williams, 53, of Charleston died Thursday, March 19, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 3, 1945, in Forrest City, Ark., daughter of L.S. and Leria Sisk McCain. She had lived in Missouri for more than 45 years.

She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by three sons, Harvey McCain, Clifford Williams and Dwight Williams, all of Charleston; four daughters, Jackie McCain, Ruby McCain, Doris McCain and Teresa Williams, all of Charleston; two brothers, L.S. McCain Jr. and James McCain, both of Charleston; three sisters, Margie Rignie and Georgia B. Davis, both of Charleston, and Stella Greer of Wilson City; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Henry "Red" Williams, died March 14, 1988. A son also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew Baptist Church, with elder L.D. Pulliam officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
