VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Lorenzo "Wren" Wright, 78, of Villa Ridge died Saturday, March 21, 1998, at the John Cockrum Veterans Home in St. Louis.

He was born March 21, 1920, son of Matthew and Nellie Wright. He was married to Odessa Wright. She died Feb. 28, 1998.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired employee of the steel mills.

Survivors include a son, Harold Wright of Gary, Ind.; a daughter, Imogene Claybourne of Gary; a brother, Harry Lee Kindred of South Bend, Ind.; and two sisters, Rosie Davis and Bertha Lee Willie Spurell, both of South Bend.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Revs. Albert Ingram Jr. and C.C. Miller will officiate, with burial in the National Cemetery in Mound City.
