MARTHA CLARK

COBDEN, Ill. -- Martha Evelene Clark, 71, of Cobden died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at her home.

She was born Sept. 30, 1926, in Union County, daughter of Mart and Myrta Mae Beggs Clutts. She and Hubert Richard Clark were married Aug. 10, 1945, in Jackson. He died Feb. 17, 1990.

Clark was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Stella Jackson of Cobden; four sons, John Clark of Anna, Mart and Robert Clark of Cobden, Charlie Clark of Vienna; a brother, Fred Clutts of Makanda; a sister, Lorene Lingle of Cobden; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Roger Glasco and Charles Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery near Lick Creek.
