HOWARDVILLE -- Rose Lee Blacksure, 43, of Howardville died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at her home of an apparent heart attack.

She was born Oct. 21, 1954, in Chicago, the daughter of Robert and Rosetta Bell Daniels, and had lived in Missouri all her life.

She married Ivory Blacksure in 1974. He survives.

She was a 1973 graduate of Lilbourn High School, and was a beautician at Willa's Clip Shop in Lilbourn. She sang in the senior choir at the First Baptist Church in Catron and was the lead singer with the "Family Echoes" singing group.

Survivors include two daughters, Bertha Bell and Natalia Blacksure of Howardville; a sister, Betty Johnkin of Chicago; five stepsons, Willie Clark and Claude Blacksure of Portageville, Bobby Clark of Kansas City, Kan., Ivory Blacksure Jr. of Lilbourn and Douglas Blacksure of New Madrid; four stepdaughters, Melody Blacksure, Rosalie Blacksure, Jacqulyn Blacksure and Cathy Blacksure, all of Kansas City, Kan.; two grandchildren and 30 stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Williams-Farr and Parnell Funeral Home in Howardville. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Catron with the Rev. Lawrence Beane officiating. Burial will follow at Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron.
