LEVA ARBUCKLE

ORAN -- Funeral for Leva D. Arbuckle of Oran will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Ministers Dan Richardson and Dale Grissom will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.

Friends may call at Blanchard Chapel after 5 p.m. today.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Oran was in charge of arrangements.

Arbuckle, 84, died Wednesday, May 27, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 18, 1914, in Falkville, Ala., daughter of John Andrew and Mary Brown Strickland. She and Oval W. Arbuckle were married Nov. 16, 1934. He died Feb. 2, 1981.

Arbuckle had owned Arbuckle Store at Swinton. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Vanduser, and Oran Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a son, John Arbuckle of Oran; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
