Mary Harlean Hart, 81, of Chaffee died April 1, 1998 at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Sept. 5, 1916, daughter of Charles Edward Little and Barbara Ellen (Lynn) Little. She married Rufus Austin Hart on July 22, 1935 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1992.

Mrs. Hart was a retired sewing machine operator. She worked for Bucksteins Pants Factory and then for Sports Specialty Shoe Co. in Chaffee. She was a member of the Church of God in Jackson, Mo.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Schlitt, Oran, Mo. and Barbara Limbaugh, Jackson, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jerry Schlitt, Chaffee, Mo.; Malinda Priggel, Oran, Mo., Carol Dennis, Oran, Mo., Lori Dirnberger, Oran, Mo., and Michael Schlitt, Oran, Mo. and 10 great grandchildren.

One daughter, one sister and two brothers also preceded her in death.

Friends may call Friday from 4:00 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 1998, at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Alvie Surface officiating. Burial will be at the Forest Hill Memorial Garden near Morley, Mo. Pallbearers include: Jerry Schlitt, Michael Schlitt, Pete Dennis, Shaun Dirnberger, Martin Priggel and Russell Eldridge.
