HOWARDVILLE -- Willie Lee Scott Cook, 81, of Howardville died Friday, April 3, 1998, at her home. She was born April 16, 1916, at Senatobia, Miss., daughter of the Rev. Jeff and Emma Brunt Scott. HOWARDVILLE -- Willie Lee Scott Cook, 81, of Howardville died Friday, April 3, 1998, at her home.

She was born April 16, 1916, at Senatobia, Miss., daughter of the Rev. Jeff and Emma Brunt Scott.

She lived in Missouri since 1948. She was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Lilbourn, where she served on the mother board and as president of the choir.

She was also a member of Mirah Chapter 8 of the Order of the Eastern Star of Howardville.

Survivors include two sons, James Edward Cook of Saginaw, Mich., and L.C. Cook of Chicago; three daughters, Rosie Washington of Saginaw, Fannie Handley of Sikeston and Lorene Farr of Howardville; two stepsons, Robert Cook of Decatur, Ill., and Melvin Cook of Crenshaw, Miss.; two stepdaughters, Deloris Cook of Sardis, Miss., and Annyce Luckett of Memphis, Tenn.; 29 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Howardville from 7 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn. The Revs. G. Wilson and M.P. Tremble will officiate, with burial in the Simmons Park Cemetery at Catron.
