ORAN -- Funeral for Norma Ruth Dover, Oran Route 1, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel (formerly Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel) in Sikeston. The Rev. Liz Tolbert Banks will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.

Dover, 68, died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at her home.

She was born Aug. 6, 1929, in Sikeston, daughter of Carl Price and Votra Mamie Baker Holyfield. She and Veachel J. Dover were married Sept. 6, 1945, at New Madrid.

Dover was snack bar supervisor at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She attended Trinity Chapel in Sikeston.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Nancy Keating of Lakeland, Fla.; two brothers, Carl Holyfield of Hermitage, Tenn., H.J. "Cotton" Holyfield of Sikeston; a sister, Dorris Stephens of Sikeston; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.
