PERRYVILLE -- Clara Schindler, 90, of Perryville died Saturday, April 11, 1998, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 20, 1908, in Perry County, daughter of Henry and Susan L. Hilderbrand Baer. On Dec. 24, 1939, she married Bernard A. "Ben" Schindler. He died March 1, 1987.

She had been an operator with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. before her retirement. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Survivors include a sister, Lulu Wille of Jackson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, with a parish wake at 7. Friends may also call from 6:30 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, with a rosary at 9 at the funeral home.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz will officiate, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
