He was born Sept. 19, 1920, in Mainord, Ark., son of Aubrey and Valda Kidd Templeton. He and Catherine Adel Murdock were married Oct. 9, 1943. She died June 5, 1995.

Templeton was retired from Cooney Equipment Co. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
