CHARLESTON -- Robert C. Jones, 82, of Charleston died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 13, 1916, at Dudley, son of Odes Naldo and Mary Ann Cozart Jones. He and Minnie G. Monroe were married May 26, 1937.

Jones retired from Brown Shoe Co. in 1976. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Hazel Williams of Charleston, June Land of Ferguson; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and four brothers.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 6:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Henry Church, with the Rev. Rich Lause and Msgr. Mike Swalina officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
