MULKEYTOWN, Ill. -- Mary Jewell Broadhacker, 84, of Mulkeytown, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died Friday, April 24, 1998, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born Sept. 11, 1913, at Marion, Ky., daughter of Charles A. and Pearl Morrall Love. She had lived in Mulkeytown for the past 20 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet Farris of Memphis, Tenn.; a son, Donald Broadhacker of Hannibal, Mo.; a sister, Bertha Treadwell of Mulkeytown; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ford Broadhacker, a son, two brothers, a sister and her parents.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Brothers Larry Smith and Donald Broadhacker officiating. Burial will follow at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
