JACKSON -- Funeral Mass for Martha Wagner of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran. The Rev. Normand Varone will officiate, with burial in Old Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, and the rosary will be recited at 7:30.

Wagner, 88, died Monday, April 27, 1998, at Heritage Gardens in Jackson.

She was born Oct. 1, 1909, in Oran, daughter of Andrew and Theresa Menz Pobst. She and Dellice Wagner were married May 2, 1935. He died Dec. 27, 1996.

Wagner worked at International Shoe Co. 31 years. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Jean Johns of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Louis Pobst of Oran; a sister, Verneda Hahn of Oran; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.
