PERRYVILLE -- Ida I. Clifton, 78, of Columbus, Ind., died Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born March 20, 1920, at Whitewater, daughter of John and Sarah Eddleman Winkler. She and the Rev. Lawrence Clifton were married Feb. 15, 1946...

PERRYVILLE -- Ida I. Clifton, 78, of Columbus, Ind., died Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

She was born March 20, 1920, at Whitewater, daughter of John and Sarah Eddleman Winkler. She and the Rev. Lawrence Clifton were married Feb. 15, 1946.

Clifton was formerly of Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Franklin, Ind.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mary McGuire of Columbus, Kathy Spring of Davenport, Iowa; three sisters, Leola Eakins of Cape Girardeau, Lanita Oster of Perryville, Ila Niswonger of Jackson; a brother, Pete Winkler of Perryville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday after 6:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jonathan Brown officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
