Ralph Wilson Davis, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 7, 1998, at his home. He was born April 8, 1918, at Blodgett, son of Samuel and Rosa Haman Davis. He and Ursula Schrock were married Feb. 12, 1946, in Cape Girardeau. Davis was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau. He was employed by Glenn Bishop Construction, and then worked at Southeast Missouri State University 23 years, retiring in 1985...

Ralph Wilson Davis, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 7, 1998, at his home.

He was born April 8, 1918, at Blodgett, son of Samuel and Rosa Haman Davis. He and Ursula Schrock were married Feb. 12, 1946, in Cape Girardeau.

Davis was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau. He was employed by Glenn Bishop Construction, and then worked at Southeast Missouri State University 23 years, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and Elks. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James and John Davis of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Betty Ingemanson of Richland, Ind., Nancy Myers of Jackson, Mary Davis of St. Louis; a brother, Leo Davis of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Juanita DeMott of West Plains; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, four brothers, and four sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, and KC rosary at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
