KELSO -- Albert Diebold, 94, of Kelso died Monday, June 8, 1998, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 24, 1903, at New Hamburg, son of Charles I. and Therese Leible Diebold. He and Gladys Helen Glueck were married Aug. 13, 1928, at Kelso.

Diebold was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and its Men's Club.

Survivors include his wife of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Morrell Diebold of Cape Girardeau, Calvin Diebold of Kelso, Terry Diebold of Dexter; a daughter, Joyce Welter of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Leon Diebold of Oran; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, a sister, and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at St. Augustine Church after 4 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
