GLADYS ZAHNER

PERRYVILLE -- Gladys L. Zahner, 82, of Perryville died Friday, June 19, 1998, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born July 26, 1915, in Perry County, daughter of Louis and Laura Anderson Geile. She married Lawrence Zahner on Nov. 26, 1936. He died Jan. 18, 1993.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include a son, Harold Zahner of San Pedro, Calif.; a daughter, Carol Owens of St. Louis; a sister, Laura Burton of Gainesville, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son.

Friends may call today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Young & Sons Funeral Chapel, with a parish wake at 7. The Rev. Gerry Kelly will officiate at the wake. Friends also may call from 6:30 to 9:40 a.m. Monday at the chapel.

A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
