Nell Ruth Goza, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 3, 1998, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Dec. 17, 1902, in Wayne County, daughter of Samuel and Bell Hanks Gilliland. She and Edward R. Goza were married Oct. 13, 1923, in Cape Girardeau. He died Jan. 24, 1972...

Nell Ruth Goza, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 3, 1998, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Dec. 17, 1902, in Wayne County, daughter of Samuel and Bell Hanks Gilliland. She and Edward R. Goza were married Oct. 13, 1923, in Cape Girardeau. He died Jan. 24, 1972.

The Gozas operated Goza's United Service Station and Koffee Cup Cafe in Chaffee almost 20 years. She was a member of First Church of God.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Edward Goza of Lakeland, Fla.; two daughters, Marjorie Skiles of Cape Girardeau, Geraldine Scull of Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Roger Christiansen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
