CHARLESTON -- Funeral for Jacob William "Jay" Wright of Newark, Ark., will be held at 2 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Wright, 33, died Thursday, July 16, 1998, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark.

He was born Sept. 13, 1964, in Sikeston, son of Jacob "Jack" and Anne Austin Wright.

Wright lived in Charleston most of his life. He had been a certified nurse assistant at Charleston Manor, and had attended the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Wright of Charleston; his parents of Chaffee; a brother, Rick Wright of Batesville, Ark.; two sisters, Elizabeth Hahn of Perryville and Teresa Perry of St. Charles.
