ANNA, Ill. -- Lester E. Wiley, 75, of Anna died Monday, July 20, 1998, at Union County Hospital. He was born in July 1923, in Anna, son of Samson S. and Beatrice Glasco Wiley. He and Alma Blanche Cerny were married March 16, 1946, in Union County. She died Nov. 23, 1995...

ANNA, Ill. -- Lester E. Wiley, 75, of Anna died Monday, July 20, 1998, at Union County Hospital.

He was born in July 1923, in Anna, son of Samson S. and Beatrice Glasco Wiley. He and Alma Blanche Cerny were married March 16, 1946, in Union County. She died Nov. 23, 1995.

Wiley was retired from Walter Hardware. He was a member of Anna United Methodist Church, and Townsend F. Dodd American Legion Post. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Sadler of Dongola, Linda Jones of Anna; a sister, Virginia Russo of Springfield; two brothers, James Wiley of Litchfield, Ralph Wiley of East Peoria; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Sullins officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
