SIKESTON -- James David Green of Sikeston died Friday, July 24, 1998, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was 62.

He was born Nov. 17, 1936, in Advance, son of Enda Hawkins Green of Bloomfield and the late Barney Green.

He married Freda Williamson Aug. 16, 1957. She survives.

He worked as a foreman for the R.E.A. for 31 years and was the owner and operator of Green's Well Drilling and Electrical Service.

Also surviving are two sons, Randy Green and Ricky Green, both of Sikeston; a daughter, Sandra Sterling of Sikeston; seven brothers, Gary Green and Roy Green, both of Bell City, Jerry Green of St. Charles, Donald Green of St. Louis, and Johnny Green, Barney Ray Green and Bill Green, all of Bloomfield; eight sisters, Doris Lacy and Sharon DeLay, both of Bell City, Faye Cochran of Marble Hill, Sue Adams of Steele, Wanda Powers of Advance, Shelby Compas of Scott City, Dixie Billingsly of Dudley, and Linda Harvey of Bloomfield; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Wayne Page of Advance officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park at Sikeston.
