Carole A. Bess, age 43, of Cape Girardeau died July 29, 1998 at Southeast Hospital in Cape. She was the daughter of John William Bess and Shirley Medlock Bess. She was formerly employed in sales for Mid-America Hotels. She graduated from Cape Central High School in 1973.

She was born December 13, 1954 in Wyatt, MO. Survivors include two brothers, Bob Bess of Cape Girardeau, MO and Jerry Bess of DuQuoin, IL, a nephew, Keif Bess of Cape Girardeau and special friend Tony Welker of Cape.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 1, 1998, at 3:00 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating.
