Isabel Y. Varro, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Nov. 7, 1930, at Charleston, Ill., daughter of Thomas Howard and Rosalie Krail Howard.
She married Louis J. Varro Nov. 23, 1957, at Los Angeles. He survives.
She worked as a nurse's aide in nursing homes and private homes in California and Nevada. She has been a resident of Cape Girardeau since 1992.
She attend the First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by a son, J. Stevan Varro of Jackson; a daughter, Stephanie B. Beckett of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Harold Howard of Villa Grove, Ill.; three sisters, Marilyn Laws and Sharon Murray, both of Los Angeles, and Patricia Shirley of Michigan; and two grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park Mausoleum, with the Revs. Bill Burke and E.K. Purcell officiating.
Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Chapel.
