LOREDA OXLEY

BERNIE -- Loreda Oxley, 77, of Bernie died at her home Friday, Aug. 7, 1998.

She was born Dec. 29, 1920, at Bernie, daughter of Omri Benton Charles and Hattie M. Wilson Charles.

She married Vincent Oxley at Malden on May 6, 1941. He survives.

She was a schoolteacher at Campbell for two years. She was a member of the Bernie United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Oxley of Cape Girardeau and Reggie Oxley of St. Augustine, Fla.; a daughter, Kathie Peoples of Phoenix; and four grandchildren.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Rainey Funeral Home Chapel at Bernie, with the Rev. John Adams and the Rev.. Susan Marner-Sides officiating. Interment will be in Bernie Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
