Todd Lee Metheny Sr., 33, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998, at Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital in Ste. Genevieve.

He was born Jan. 8, 1965, in Cape Girardeau, son of Howard and Linda Meyer Metheny. He and Marty Bauer were married May 19, 1990, at Millwood.

Metheny was a 1983 graduate of Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

He was owner of Pavement Recycling Inc. He went into business with his father in 1985 and took over the company in July 1997. He had also worked at Delta Asphalt and Metheny's Book Store.

Metheny was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Chamber of Commerce and Eagles.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Todd Metheny Jr. and Trevor Metheny, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Tori Metheny of Cape Girardeau; his mother of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Stanley Metheny of Leawood, Kan., Eugene Metheny of Ballwin; two sisters, Brenda Walter of St. Peters and Rhonda Metheny of Silver Spring, Md.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
