CAROL MORTON

JACKSON -- Carol Morton, 56, formerly of Jackson, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at Carolyn Calhoun County Care Center in Hardin, Ill.

She was born Oct. 22, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Lowell "Toby" and Violet Schreiner Reynolds. She and Nelson Morton were married April 22, 1962.

Morton had been a secretary at the National Stock Yards in East St. Louis, Ill. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Elsah, Ill.

Survivors include her husband of Kampsville, Ill.; two daughters, Terri Brown of Jackson, Kim Sebastian of Cape Girardeau; her mother, Violet Reynolds of Jackson; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Johnny Seabaugh officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery near Pocahontas.
