SIKESTON -- Beatrice McCormick, 95, formerly of Sikeston and a resident of Miner Nursing Center, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998, at the nursing center. She was born Aug. 21, 1903, at Point Pleasant, daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Jessie MacElley Allen. She and D.D. "Dick" McCormick were married in 1920. He died in 1956...

SIKESTON -- Beatrice McCormick, 95, formerly of Sikeston and a resident of Miner Nursing Center, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998, at the nursing center.

She was born Aug. 21, 1903, at Point Pleasant, daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Jessie MacElley Allen. She and D.D. "Dick" McCormick were married in 1920. He died in 1956.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston and a member of the Legion of Mary.

Survivors include a son, Jerry McCormick of Port Orange, Fla.; a daughter, Hazel Werneck of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son and brother.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a rosary by the Legion of Mary at 7:30.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel. Monsignor William Stanton will officiate, with burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Charleston.
