MARBLE HILL -- The Rev. Quinton Robins, 78, of Marble Hill died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, at his home. He was born Nov. 27, 1919, at Bessville, son of Earl and Vallie Thomasson Robins. He and Mabel Avanda Fulton were married on Sept. 3, 1938. She died Jan. 18, 1994. He and Ruth M. Littlejohn were married June 14, 1997...

MARBLE HILL -- The Rev. Quinton Robins, 78, of Marble Hill died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, at his home.

He was born Nov. 27, 1919, at Bessville, son of Earl and Vallie Thomasson Robins. He and Mabel Avanda Fulton were married on Sept. 3, 1938. She died Jan. 18, 1994. He and Ruth M. Littlejohn were married June 14, 1997.

Robins was a farmer.

He was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister on Aug. 29, 1982, at New Salem Baptist Church. He was pastor of the Dongola Friendship Baptist Church for 13 years and was a member and pastor of Moores Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jerry Robins of St. Charles and James and Johnnie Robins, both of Marble Hill; a daughter, Dianna Francis of Marble Hill; a brother, Roy Robins of Jackson; two stepsons, Frank Barker of Jefferson City and Arthur Girssman of Valpairso, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Carla Jones of Granite City, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 4 p.m. today, with a prayer service planned for 7:30.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Salem Baptist Church. The Revs. Delbert Bishop and Randy Poole will officiate, with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
