VERNA HICKERSON
KARNAK, Ill. -- Verna Hickerson, 88, of Karnak died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, at her home. She was born May 14, 1910, in Wayne County, Iowa, daughter of Henry and Etta Shriver Hammond. Survivors include a daughter, Violet Soliz of Karnak; two sisters, Pauline Pearson of Tucson, Ariz., Lottie Bradford of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Seymour, Iowa. Burial will be in Shriver Cemetery in Wayne County.
Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak is in charge of local arrangements.
