CHARLESTON -- Beatrice Stocking, 84, formerly of Charleston died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998, at the Surry Place Nursing Facility at Chesterfield.
She was born Aug. 3, 1914, at Charleston, daughter of Joseph L. and Ida Wilhelm Halter.
She lived in Charleston most of her life. She was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
She married Roy John Stocking on Aug. 27, 1934. He died on Jan. 31, 1976.
Survivors include a son, Roy J. Stocking Jr. of Yuma, Ariz.; four daughters, Sister Roy Maureen Stocking of St. Louis, Kathleen Rich of Anderson, Ind., and Eileen Reeder and Micki Schaefer of Wildwood; two sisters, Dorothy Rolwing of Charleston and Marie Bradford of Jackson; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Catholic Church.
Monsignor Edmund Griesedieck will officiate. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Charleston.
