ORAN -- Funeral for Marcella Pernell of Cleburne, Texas, was held Monday in Cleburne, with the Rev. Dan Burt officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Cleburne.

Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pernell, 80, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, at Walls Regional Hospital in Cleburne.

She was born Oct. 2, 1917, at Oran, daughter of Victor and Bertha Schott Heisserer. She and P.D. "Ed" Pernell were married Aug. 24, 1960, in Greenville, Texas.

Survivors include her husband; three brothers, Andy Heisserer of Oran, T.S. Heisserer of St. Louis, Sylvester Heisserer of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, LaVerne Hartley of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
