CAIRO, Ill. -- Funeral Mass for Therese Ann Petermichel of Chula Vista, Calif., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo. The Rev. Jerome Fortenberry will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after 5 p.m. Friday.

Petermichel, 70, died Thursday, May 28, 1998, in Chula Vista.

She was born Sept. 18, 1927, in Cairo, daughter of John Michael and Genevieve Rose Dyas Petermichel.

Petermichel retired as a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Richard Petermichel of Bloomington, Ind., and David Petermichel of Olive Branch.
