Justine P. Snipes, 84, of Nashville, Tenn., died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, at Mariner Health Center in Nashville.
She was born April 17, 1914, in Norge, Okla., daughter of James J. and Irma Jones Anderson Snipes.
Snipes was formerly of Cape Girardeau. She was a staff member in the House of Representatives.
She was a member of Abigail Hartman Rice chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Potomac Toastmistress Club, Senate Toastmaster Club, and National Genealogy Society.
Survivors include three sisters, Geraldine Wilson of Nashville, Nadine Purdue of Deltona, Fla., and Azilee Lohrke of Hamilton, Mont.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 1-3 p.m. Thursday.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park. Dr. Clayton L. Smith will officiate.
