ANNA, Ill. -- Elizabeth Walser, 92, of Anna died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at Parkway Manor Estates in Marion. She was born July 17, 1906, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of Robert and Nina Polk DePriest. She and Clayton Walser were married July 17, 1925, in Anna. He died in 1954...

ANNA, Ill. -- Elizabeth Walser, 92, of Anna died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at Parkway Manor Estates in Marion.

She was born July 17, 1906, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of Robert and Nina Polk DePriest. She and Clayton Walser were married July 17, 1925, in Anna. He died in 1954.

Walser was city clerk for the city of Anna until 1951, and retired as assistant cashier at Anna State Bank in 1973.

She was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church, secretary of Union County Hospital Auxiliary concessions, past memorial chairman of Union County Cancer Society and Illinois Heart Association.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Edith Wells of Little Rock, Ark., Elsie Baggott of Anna; and a brother-in-law. Maurice Walser of Peoria.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Moriah Church, with the Rev. Rick Hertenstein officiating.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
