ADVANCE -- Dovie T. Masters, 88, of Advance died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 14, 1909, in Dover, Tenn., daughter of Bill and Eleanor Greer Ford. She and Elmer Masters were married May 8, 1926, in Kennett. He died July 9, 1988...

ADVANCE -- Dovie T. Masters, 88, of Advance died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 14, 1909, in Dover, Tenn., daughter of Bill and Eleanor Greer Ford. She and Elmer Masters were married May 8, 1926, in Kennett. He died July 9, 1988.

Survivors include a son, Edwin Masters of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Dorothy Meloling of Rockwall, Texas, Carole Drewry of Imperial, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with John Tolbert and Gary Ridings officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park at Marble Hill.
