COBDEN, Ill. -- Funeral for Charles A. Rendleman of Kimberling City, Mo., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden. The Rev. Clifford Heil will officiate, with burial in Alto Pass Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday until service time.

Rendleman, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, at Table Rock Retirement Village in Kimberling City.

He was born Jan. 26, 1911, in Cobden, son of F.H. and Carrie Alice Landreth Rendleman. He and Evelyn Juanita Henderson were married Nov. 9, 1935, in Cobden. She died Aug. 16, 1997.

Rendleman had farmed and retired as chief clerk with Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon High of Kimberling City; a grandson; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
