DEXTER -- Jessie A. Reed, 91, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 8, 1907, in Pemiscot County, daughter of Ashley and Elizabeth Gible Abshire. She and Guy E. Reed were married Jan. 29, 1928, at Benton. He died Feb. 2, 1974.

Reed had been a stitcher at International Shoe Co. in Sikeston and Dexter. She was a member of first Baptist Church in Dexter.

Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine Graham of Cape Girardeau, Jean Blades of Dexter; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Dismuke officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
