Funeral for Ruby Mae Perez of Fredericktown will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time.

Perez, 86, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 1998, at Cla Rue Deville in Fredericktown.

She was born Feb. 24, 1912, in Senatobia, Miss., daughter of William Thomas and Addie Allen Boyd. She and Manuel Perez were married Dec. 9, 1968, in Pontiac, Mich. He preceded her in death.

Perez moved to Cape Girardeau in 1971 from Michigan. She had worked in various cotton mills in the south.

Survivors include friends John and Hazel Ford of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
