THEBES, Ill. -- Funeral for Susie Myers of Thebes will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The Rev. Curtis Alderson will officiate, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Myers, 88, died Monday, Oct. 12, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born April 24, 1910, in Alexander County, daughter of George Washington and Minnie Elizabeth Durham Light. She and the Rev. Cloy Myers were married Jan. 15, 1943.

Myers was a member of Olive Branch First Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Edgar White of Cape Girardeau, Lester White and the Rev. David Myers of Thebes, James White of Olive Branch; two daughters, Georgette Norris of Thebes, Loretta Wilson of Tomball, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, and a grandson.
