THEBES, Ill. -- Oscar Andrew Bryant, 82, Thebes Route 1, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 13, 1916, at Tamms, son of George Justin and Madie Cohen Bryant. He and J. Lorene Orick had been married 62 years.

Bryant had been a construction worker with Allied Oil Co. He was a member of Apostolic Church of Thebes.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronnie Bryant of Jonesboro, Gerald Bryant of Racine, Wis.; three daughters, Marvalee Monahan and Deloris White of Thebes, Peggy Maze of Sikeston, Mo.; a brother, William Bryant of Jonesboro; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Greg Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
