ANNA, Ill. -- Myrtle F. Boyd, 86, of Anna died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, at her home.
She was born March 10, 1912, at Jonesboro, Ill., the daughter of William T. and Fannie Simpson Rhodes.
She married John Jasper Boyd Jr. on Aug. 28, 1932, at Joneboro. He died Dec. 24, 1986.
She was a member of the Anna United Methodist Church, the ASFME retired program and the Women of the Moose. She was a charter member of the "As You Like It" Garden Club. She was a retired clothing aide from the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna.
She is survived by a son, Bill R. Boyd of Cobden; a daughter, Linda LaFoon of Anna; a sister, Anna E. Rhodes of Anna; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Todd Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery.
