Lucille H. Perry, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, at Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born March 11, 1920, an Ancell, daughter of John J. and Christina Diebold Hoffman. She and William Perry were married in October 1946 in Cape Girardeau...

Lucille H. Perry, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born March 11, 1920, an Ancell, daughter of John J. and Christina Diebold Hoffman. She and William Perry were married in October 1946 in Cape Girardeau.

Perry was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and Cape Girardeau Business College. She lived in St. Louis a few years then moved to Colorado, New Mexico, and back to Cape Girardeau in 1957.

She worked at Sears and also worked at Montgomery Ward 30 years, retiring when the Cape Girardeau store closed. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Survivors include a son, John Perry of Jackson; two daughters, Marty Riley of Cape Girardeau, Lila Steinhoff of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Rosemary Seyer of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
